I have to admit I was disappointed that ITTB getting bought didn’t generate any news beyond financial analysts. For whatever reason that is no longer the case:
Washington Post and the Arizona Republic.
Turns out not that thrilling.
Just another WordPress.com weblog

A guy at work falls asleep occasionally, in various places. He did it in a meeting once, and today he fell asleep at his desk. And I just found out he’s fallen asleep walking before. I haven’t come up with anything particularly vicious to do to him yet so I’m throwing it out for suggestions:
Whats the best way to screw with a Narcoleptic at work?
This morning when I was leaving for work Kyra tried to convince me to stay home:
“You could stay in the laundry room and type on the computer”
It didn’t work, but it was a good argument.
I just finished writing a ‘Thanks, but no thanks’ email today to a guy I interviewed last week.
I hate doing those, I hate interviewing people. If somebodies clearly an idiot or trying to inflate their resume I don’t mind tossing them out, but there are a lot of people who are decent enough who just don’t fit. Not enough experience, not the right skills, or just not quite good enough. I empathize with those people, just trying to feed their families and make things better for themselves. And when the interviews start to go south I always feel bad about it. I’ve been in interviews and it’s excruciating. Whats worse is I’m not sure how good I am at picking out good people: One guy we hired I thought was a total tool (that’s you Chris). He’s worked out well. So maybe I’m getting lots of these really wrong. Who knows.
The good news is a guy I interviewed starts next monday. He had a picture of his three month old son paper clipped to copies of his resume. Like Scott said: Dirty pool. I can’t wait until all of our positions are filled, this sucks.
National Championship game in the valley tomorrow (college football) so downtown scottsdale bars are gearing up for some drinking. I recently moved my desk so I’m by a window and out that window I can see right into the courtyard of a bar, where they have a giant tv. Big enough that I can watch it (without sound) from my desk. Looks like it’s some kind of ESPN talk show.
I’ve been quite about work, but this is vaugly personal:

“I’m a big advocate of companies having a policy,” said Dan Morrison, chief executive officer of Scottsdale-based ITtoolbox Inc., which operates an online community for information-technology professionals.
I should probably hunt that one down.
Lot’s of stuff finishing at work. Check out my profile, complete with super serious proffessional picture.
I wrote another work blog entry. As we always run soft launches I never had a chance to explain any page on the blogs site, so this is an attempt to at least point a few things out.
I have to say that this entry displays none of my usual flair, my viscious dig at a party who wronged me was cut as being ‘a little too personal’. But let me say:He really is that ugly and stupid and my hatred for him cannot be bounded by limits of our universe.
Wiki + Deli.icio.us. More work blogging. How I used ITtoolbox Wiki and del.icio.us to overcome my inability to remember anything.
Enjoy!
After a brief pause My Second ITtoolbox Team Blog entry is up. It’s all about our Contextual Match Engine. It also features, get this, a contest. Your chance to win a glorious free t-shirt. Please enter the contest because I’m going to look like a moron if nobody submits anything.
Thanks.
Also: Please visit my Bio on the team blog site because I am not the most trafficked bio on the site, and it makes me sad. It seems like, with the awesome resources I have available to me here at schulzone I should be able to be the most trafficked biography. And not having it makes me sad. My self esteem is in the balance here people, clicka way.
